JOHN WAYNE AIRPORT POSTS NOVEMBER 2016 STATISTICS
SANTA ANA, Calif. – Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport increased in November 2016 as compared with November 2015. In November 2016, the Airport served 884,617 passengers, an increase of 3.5% when compared with the
November 2015 passenger traffic count of 854,452.
In November 2016, commercial aircraft operations increased 7.9% and commuter aircraft operations decreased 67.5% when compared with November
2015 levels.
Total aircraft operations decreased in November 2016 as compared with the same month in 2015. In November 2016, there were 21,927 total aircraft operations (take-offs and landings), a 2.1% decrease compared to 22,391 total aircraft operations in November 2015.
General aviation activity, which accounted for 65.1% of the total aircraft operations during November 2016, decreased 5.0% when compared with November 2015.
The top three airlines in November 2016 based on passenger count were Southwest Airlines (415,733), American Airlines (135,183) and United Airlines (109,095).
