North Tustin Spheres of Influence

The State of California has an objective to have surrounded unincorporated areas to be annexed by the surrounding cities. The applicable law requires a reassessment of the "Spheres of Influence" of these cites every 5 years. The Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) meets June 17, 2009 to hear public comment and to vote on new spheres of influence (SOI)for North Tustin (NT). The SOI define the proposed boundry for the eventual annexation of NT by the cities of Tustin and Orange. Here is the hearing notice. Here is the FCA position for the hearing.
Three sphere options for NT have been proposed by LAFCO. We believe the most likely is to be adopted is the boundry between the Tustin and Orange school districts.

At this same meeting, LAFCO will hold public comment and vote on the next fiscal year budget.
